Thank You!

The generosity of the artists, of course, is what made this event possible.

The art work was donated in part or in full by artists who wish to support the work of Vinalhaven Land Trust, and their respect and care for the land shows clearly in the works they contributed.

Art for Land's Sake

Art that celebrates the artist in harmony with the land.

This exciting three day event, which started immediatedly after Annual Meeting on July 30th, concluded with a fast paced auction on August 1. The energy in the air was palpable as bidding paddles flashed. All told, the winners bid almost $15,000.

Profits from the auction will be used by VLT in its stewardship fund. This fund is used for the care and protection of land for which VLT is responsible.

As requested by some auction goers, the art will be kept on line for viewing through August. A larger view, with detail about the art, can be seen by clicking on the number beneath the art.
