Politics and the environment have been two of Anne's main interests since graduating from Bryn Mawr College in 1950. She pursued these interests by being on the Board of the Nature Conservancy of Pennsylvania and the Conservation & National Affairs Committees of the Garden Club of America. When not volunteering, Anne taught 4th Grade at the Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, PA. Eleven years ago she came to Vinalhaven and has been especially impressed with the physical beauty of this island and the importance of protecting it for present and future generations and for wildlife and its fragile water resources. "Being a Board member of the Vinalhaven Land Trust is an exciting privilege for which I am very thankful".
